February 28th, 2015

I've been thinking a lot lately about if I am going to be able to have my book edited and ready enough by the time my ISP is due. So I believe my best options for my final product for the project be a rough draft of the book and still get the book printed as a book to distribute to my authentic audience. This way I don't rush to publish my book and it have errors.

I sent out an email to Dr. Kendall Brown and Sergio Garcia about being apart of my authentic audience. I should hopefully hear back from them on Monday!

Today I sent out messages to my friends Nolan and KayAnn asking if they would be apart of my authentic audience. And they said yes! I also spoke to my grandmother, who accepted as well!
I've written out my Initial Periodic Progress Check for Mrs.McCain to deliver to Ms.Hughes Thursday.

Now that I have a pretty good list of terms to start with, I need to explore the CreateSpace website.
First I should create an account!
I agreed to the Member Agreement,
verified my email,
and my account was created! I chose the self-guided publishing route.
Because this is my first time using CreateSpace, I'm going to use the guided setup process.
I've added some basic title information, but I will most likely come back and edit this before I go to the review process.
I am perfectly fine with CreateSpace being listed as the publisher, so I chose the CreateSpace-Assigned ISBN for my book.
So I now have an ISBN for my book! How awesome is that?!
So now on to the interior of my book! I am going to go with their recommended 6x9 book and have it printed in black and white on white paper.
They also have formatted and blank templates that I can use to start typing my encyclopedia entries!

I still have a long way to go but I'm really excited to be able to publish my own book to help others struggling with Crohn's Disease!
